Assistant Financial Accountant

- Salary: £35,000 to £45,000

What can you expect?
- Lead the design and ongoing maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Ensure timely capitalisation, accuracy, and IFRS compliance.
- Deliver clear, accurate fixed asset reports for internal teams.
- Track all asset transactions, acquisitions, disposals, impairments, using modern data tools.
- Reconcile fixed asset data across finance and operational systems.
- Ensure depreciation aligns with capitalisation dates, useful life, and component methodology.
- Reconcile fixed asset-related balance sheet accounts.
- Support monthly reporting, statutory accounts, and audit processes.
- Assist in regulatory submissions and consolidation reporting.
What skillset will you bring?
- Degree in Accountancy & Finance with at least 12 months experience OR PQ/Finalist.
- Proven, hands-on expertise in fixed asset accounting (desirable)
- Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms, along with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Be collaborative, adaptable, and accountable in your approach to work.
- Demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, identifying key issues and taking initiative to resolve them.
