Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

• Depository liaison, including addressing transactional queries and providing supporting documentation from both Finance and Legal Teams.
• Assisting with fund operations, including capital calls, distributions and transfers.
• Assisting with the accounts payable process, from coordinating internal sign-off to preparing wires for investment, expenses and distributions.
• Managing stakeholder queries (including those from investors, fund administrators and external auditors) with respect of fund activity.
• Supporting with investor-related activities, i.e. updating the accounting/investment management system for investor details and updating the investor portal access.
• Supporting with the year-end audit and quarterly reporting.
• Assisting with cash reconciliations, monthly and quarterly closes.
• Assisting with quarter-end bookkeeping, including posting intercompany and accruals journals.
• Supporting with annual Luxembourg tax compliance (VAT, tax return) project work.
• Supporting with annual US tax compliance (K-1, PFIC / CFC and BEA) project work.
• Support with annual FATCA / CRS regulatory tax compliance project work.

• Strong academics.
• Studying towards an accounting qualification, preferably part-qualified.
• Sound working knowledge of Excel.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and can-do approach.
• Able to adhere to deadlines.
