Workshop Supervisor

Salary - Up to GBP50,000

Monday - Friday (days only)

ABOUT THE ROLE

You ll be responsible for coordinating the workshop team, ensuring that repair and maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard, and keeping customers updated on progress. This is a hands-on role, so as well as supervising others, you ll be carrying out inspections, fault-finding, and repair work on a variety of specialist assets.

Key Duties
  • Organise daily workshop activity, allocate jobs, and oversee technician performance.

  • Provide clear updates to customers, prepare estimates, invoicing, and manage expectations on repair timescales.

  • Carry out mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Background: Skilled in the maintenance and repair of plant or commercial vehicles.

  • Technical ability: Strong diagnostic knowledge and confidence working across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

  • Compliance awareness: Understanding of inspection standards, safety regulations, and quality procedures.

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or time served.

  • Personal approach: A hands-on leader who can motivate a team, work independently, and maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude.
