Overview

Are you a people manager with strong experience in developing teams? Or are you a Warehouse Team Leader looking for development and progression? The Warehouse Shift Supervisor will manage a team across the DC in line with or exceeding performance targets.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver against agreed performance targets for the shift, creating a culture where continuous improvement is at the heart of decision making and performance management - drive improvement through performance KPIs, using performance metrics to guide decisions
  • Lead and support effective shift set-up and handover routines and shift Performance Review meetings, cultivating clear and open communication with the DC team whilst building a wider understanding of performance, its levers, and focused priorities for shifts
  • Build a culture of performance challenging the team to meet and exceed targets - effectively manage colleagues (informed by data, observations and quality assurance activity) to drive a step change in performance - observe, coach and develop a team to continuously improve
  • Identify skills gaps and work in partnership with the Training Supervisor to design and deliver training and coaching interventions which enhance the knowledge and productivity of employees, reducing the speed to competency time for new recruits
  • Work with the Operations Manager to optimise the allocation of resource to task and coaching and developing a team to improve productivity
  • Collaborate with peers and DC leadership to proactively identify opportunities for performance improvement carrying out root causes analysis and driving initiatives through to completion
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to H&S regulations across the DC
Experience
  • You must have previous experience in a Supervisor or Manager role
  • Warehouse experience highly desirable
