Overview

JOB: Warehouse Assistant / Driver

LOCATION: Colchester

SALARY: £23,300 per annum for 35-hour week (plus paid overtime)

Reed Recruitment in Colchester are looking for a Warehouse Assistant/Driver to work for a client based in Colchester on a full time, permanent basis.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm with an early finish on Friday working 8:30am to 1:30pm. The company operate a Christmas shutdown, and this is on full pay with no holiday used. This year it will be from 23rd of December returning on the 2nd of January.

Responsibilities

Main duties include:

• Ensuring that all goods that are picked and booked in match the relevant paperwork
• Receiving, checking, recording, and storing stock as it is received
• Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy
• Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
• Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedule
• VMI (Vendor-managed inventory), which involves using a hand-held scanner. Full training will be given.
• Forklift licence an advantage, but training can be given.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.
• Customer facing deliveries, this is not a multi drop driving role
• Approx. 50% warehouse – 50% driving

• Warehouse / stores experience is a must
• Forklift licence an advantage but not necessary as we are willing to train
• Must have Full Driving Licence required - Maximum of 3 penalty points
• Physically fit.
