Mon - Fri day shift with some flex occasionally required based on operational needs (45 hours)

A brand new and exciting opportunity to lead the Transport Team within our Brakes Depot in Newark - part of Sysco GB. If youre an experienced transport or distribution manager with great people leadership skills then we want to hear from you!

We are looking for an experienced individual with strong transport operational knowledge to lead and motivate our amazing team of drivers, planners and administrators. Youll be involved in a wide variety of tasks including HR recruitment and budgeting to driving a continuous improvement culture and preparing for and supporting audits. The position will be customer facing both internal and external we need someone with an ability to resolve any issues to ensure our reliable reputation is maintained.

To join us in this role you need to be keen and willing to take accountability of our fleet and people. Youll need to have knowledge from CPC management and strong understanding of transport compliance reinforcing the importance of getting the job done timely and safely. This is a varied role where you will be not only be ensuring all costs are in line with the budgetary requirements but also acting as the lead person in creating the correct environment for our colleagues. Leading by example youll set and maintaining standards in service health safety and compliance.
