Description

GBB is a leading forensic engineering consultancy, providing expert analysis and reporting across a range of technical disciplines. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Technical Administrator to support our engineering and investigative teams. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth flow of technical documentation, case management, and operational coordination within a fast-paced, evidence-led environment.

What will your day look like:
  • Manage and maintain case files, technical reports, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate scheduling of site visits, inspections, and expert witness appointments
  • Liaise with solicitors, insurers, and clients to ensure timely delivery of reports and updates
  • Support engineers with document formatting, data entry, and report preparation
  • Maintain internal databases and case tracking systems with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Monitor and facilitate field experts’ data downloads
  • Assist in quality assurance checks and compliance with ISO and legal standards
  • Prepare and distribute technical documentation for legal proceedings
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of expert reports
  • Provide administrative support for technical meetings, including minute-taking and follow-ups
  • Support procurement and inventory of specialist equipment and software
Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Previous experience in a technical, legal, or engineering administrative role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with case management systems or CRM platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of forensic or investigative processes is advantageous
Qualifications:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths – essential
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent – desirable
  • Legal or technical administration training – advantageous
