About the opportunity

A rare opportunity has opened up for a Team Manager within Children’s Services at Gloucestershire County Council — ideal for an experienced ATM or Advanced Practitioner ready to take the next step in their career. The team is made up of yourself (the Team Manager), Advanced Practitioner, four Social Workers and an ASYE, ensuring a close knit, stable environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team of Social Workers to deliver high-quality services.
  • Ensure statutory duties and best practices are met.
  • Provide case oversight with a clear understanding of risk.
  • Align team plans with strategic objectives.
  • Manage workflow, oversee quality through supervision, observation, and audits.
  • Contribute to the development of the quality assurance framework.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and partner agencies to ensure effective support and protection for vulnerable children and young people across the county.
