Our Public Realm Division ensures that the London Borough of Hackney is clean, safe and accessible for all our residents, businesses and visitors. Our Streetscene team is responsible for the design and maintenance of all highway networks, foot-ways, bridges and lighting on all public roads, contributing to the well-being of our community and creating a sustainable public realm. Working within the Public Realm Division, the Sustainable Transport and Engagement team delivers smarter travel and road safety programmes to influence behaviour change towards safer and more sustainable forms of travel.
