Working Hours:40 hours per week

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS client’s team in Havant, Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services for adults. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately on a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Provide psychiatric care and support for adults with a range of mental health conditions
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop treatment plans
• Hold Section 12 approval and contribute to responsibilities under the Mental Health Act
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
• Support and supervise junior medical staff and trainees
• Participate in service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Engage with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic, person-centred care

Qualifications and Experiences:

• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)

• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
