A market-leading global company within the aerospace and defence sector is looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer with a passion for innovative software and project management to join them in Stevenage. You will be delivering cutting-edge software solutions for real-time embedded systems, subsystems, hardware, and firmware within aerospace electronics and weapons systems.

Experience & Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management to software engineering teams, with proven experience leading teams of up to 10 members.
• Create estimates based on requirements and design solutions.
• Manage work packages, task allocation, progress tracking, reporting, bid estimation, budget & cost control, and supplier management.
• Act as a technical authority on software development, design, techniques, and tooling.
• Knowledge of SDLC, particularly with C, C++, and UML.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other divisions and regions.
• Certifications such as Prince2, Agile, SCRUM, Six Sigma, DevOps, SDLC, and others are beneficial.
