A Senior Planner (MEP) opening has been created by a Tier 1 Main Contractor in the Construction industry. The role is based out of London with site-based travel expected. It pays up to £100,000 + benefits and a car/travel allowance.

Position Overview:
This Tier 1 Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Planner with a background in MEP to join their dynamic team in London. The Senior Planner will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules using ASTA Powerproject software, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using ASTA Powerproject software, incorporating all MEP activities and milestones.
Resource Allocation:
Coordinate with project teams to allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal project performance.
Progress Monitoring:
Regularly monitor project progress against established schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
Risk Management:
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise their impact on project schedules and budgets.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate schedule updates, progress reports, and project milestones to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with project teams to ensure that MEP activities are completed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and specifications.
Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the planning and scheduling function, implementing best practices to optimize project delivery.
Team Leadership:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior planners and project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
