Qualifications

• Experience working in a high‑hazard industry.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related subject.
• Membership of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (or similar), Chartered status and registration with the Engineering Council.

Responsibilities

• Assess, investigate, and influence the safe management of mechanical engineering risks.
• Conduct inspections of major hazard installations.
• Assess safety reports and verify them against legislation.
