JOB – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

LOCATION – Glasgow

TERM – Permanent

SALARY - £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client designs and delivers fire services to commercial and domestic clients. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Glasgow on a permanent basis.

Qualifications
  • NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar ideally in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role would be
  • 3D CAD Design Experience in the fire industry
  • Mechanical / electrical Installation experience would be beneficial
  • Be a hands-on, practical engineer
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Be a mentor to junior/graduate engineers
  • Have a full UK driving licence
Responsibilities
  • Hands-on servicing, installation and maintenance of fire and security systems
  • Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
  • Working within a small team to deliver a quality service to customers
  • Travelling to and from customer sites for around 2 hours a day
  • Occasional further travel in the UK e.g. to Scotland or Wales
