Connect to your opportunity We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Manager to join the Algorithm and AI Assurance team in London to lead and contribute to the delivery of high-impact assurance projects across a range of clients and technologies.

As an emerging leader of the team we will provide you with ongoing support to allow you to further develop into a leading specialist in your discipline, gain experience of others, and play your part in maintaining and building our esteemed position in the market.

You will be
  • Leading and managing a team providing guidance and support across the Algorithm and AI Assurance focus areas described abovebelow.
  • Providing assurance over large technology platforms compliance with new Digital and Internet regulations - i.e. Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act, EU AI Act. This will include identifying and assessing risks, developing testing strategies, and communicating findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Conducting in-depth Algorithm and AI control reviews and control testing, leveraging Deloitte\'s proprietary methodologies and tools and by reference to emerging AI standards (such as ISO, NIST, etc).
  • Developing and implementing innovative assurance approaches to address emerging risks and challenges in the rapidly evolving landscape of AI and algorithms.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and proactively identifying opportunities for new business. This includes leading client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
  • Actively contributing to business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in marketing and networking events.
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Ensuring all project deliverables are undertaken in accordance with Deloitte\'s quality and risk management standards.
  • Working effectively in diverse, cross-service line teams, leveraging internal networks to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients. This will involve collaborating with colleagues from other service lines to deliver integrated services.
Qualifications
  • To qualify for this role essentials are: Extensive knowledge and experience in the regulatory landscape surrounding algorithms and AI (e.g. EU AI Act, Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Online Safety Act, MIFID II RTS 6, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, SS1/23 etc.). Ability to interpret and apply these regulations and standards to practical scenarios and advise clients on compliance strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex risk and control assessments, specifically within the context of algorithms and AI. Experience should encompass both design and operating effectiveness testing of controls, ideally within an IT or data-driven environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering high-quality reports and presentations to senior stakeholders, effectively communicating complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading and managing complex, multi-faceted projects, including the development of project plans, resource allocation, budget management, and risk mitigation.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
  • Experience in managing client expectations and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities (including proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Significant experience in internal or external audit, with a focus on the design and operating effectiveness testing of IT controls. Experience with regulatory audits is a plus.
  • Experience in projects related to algorithm or technology control enhancement and regulatory change, either within a professional services firm or in industry. This includes experience with control framework enhancements related to algorithms or AI.
  • Experience in coding (e.g., Python, Java) or advanced data modelling and analytics techniques.
  • Use of Gen-AI to drive enhanced efficiencies in delivery and design of services.
