A major healthcare institution in the UK is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma & Orthopaedics specializing in Foot and Ankle. This post is for a Senior Clinical Fellow (post‑CCT) offering exposure to Foot & Ankle surgery from basic to complex, including instruction in the management of a wide spectrum of foot and ankle disorders, arthroscopic procedures, minimally invasive procedures, arthrodesis, forefoot reconstructions, diabetic/Charcot reconstruction, trauma and post‑trauma reconstruction.
Duties will include delivering care for patients under the care of the Foot and Ankle Consultants and team, providing support to foundation and core training doctors, surgical scrub practitioner, allied F&A health professionals and receiving support and training from Consultant staff.
The post is suitable for an individual who has passed the FRCS (Orth) exam, has at least 6 years experience at SPR level in Trauma and Orthopaedics including at least 12 months experience in the subspecialty of foot and ankle surgery, and is approaching or has recently achieved the CCT. Possession of full GMC registration is essential.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £73,992 a year excluding LW/on call supplements
