Senior Cell Manufacturing Engineer – Clean Energy Technology

Salary: up to £55,000

Location: Horsham

This Senior Cell Manufacturing Engineer role offers the opportunity to play a key part in advanced manufacturing within the clean energy sector. As a Senior Cell Manufacturing Engineer, you will act as a subject matter expert across cell production, driving process improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement in a high-technology environment.

The Senior Cell Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, supporting technology transfer and embedding best-practice manufacturing methodologies. This is a hands-on, influential position suited to an experienced Manufacturing Engineer ready to step into a more strategic and mentoring-focused role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency, yield, and quality
  • Drive process development and optimisation using value stream mapping, cycle time analysis, and data-led decision making
  • Support technology transfer activities including FAT, documentation, training, and partner engagement
  • Apply SPC tools (control charts, Cp / Cpk, gauge R&R) and manage risk using PFMEA, DFM / A, and DRBFM
  • Act as a technical advisor, mentoring engineers and supporting resolution of complex manufacturing issues
Who You Are

Degree-qualified (BEng or MEng) in Chemical, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering

Several years’ experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role within a regulated or high-technology environment

Industrial Process Expertise
  • Heat treatment
  • Deposition techniques (e.g. screen printing)
  • Laser ablation or welding
Ceramics processing
