As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. This means planning and delivering care that gives our residents a sense of security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care and influencing the team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, your approach will be rooted in kindness. Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will be involved in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with your team.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with a background in person-centered care planning and dementia care knowledge. However, your positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. You will communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues alike.
