SEND Learning Support Assistant – Daily supply, starting as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Learning Support Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) in mainstream and specialist provisions across Shepherds Bush and the surrounding areas.

Duties as SEND Learning Support Assistant:
  • Support pupils with PMLD in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions tailored to individual needs
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing EHCP targets and differentiated activities
  • Provide personal care and mobility support where required
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Liaise with SENCO and other professionals to support pupil progress
  • Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently
  • Proven experience supporting children with PMLD in school settings
  • Understanding of a range of complex needs and strategies to support them
  • Comfortable with personal care and physical support responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a SEND Learning Support Assistant
  • Ability to work flexibly across different age groups and learning needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • A proactive, patient and compassionate approach to supporting pupils
