Overview

School Administrator — Temporary basis, pending recruitment to the role. Immediate start. Leigh area. Full time Mon-Fri full days. £13-15 per hour. Experience in a school office is essential. Experience with Arbor highly desirable.

Role and responsibilities

Premier Education are recruiting for a school administrator to work in a secondary school in the Leigh area starting as soon as possible on a full-time temporary basis. As an administrator you will be the first point of call for parents, staff and outside agencies when visiting the school and this role offers the opportunity to become part of a busy office team who deliver exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will work alongside the office manager, the Headteacher and Finance team assisting in day-to-day tasks such as answering the phone, helping with enquiries, using the school database, dealing with registers and pupil absence.

Ideal candidates will have
  • Experience working as an Administrator in a school setting
  • The ability to prioritise and deal with multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent ICT skills, Arbor experienced ideal but SIMS considered
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Grade C or above in GCSE English and Mathematics and an Administration qualification or be working towards one
