Job summary

An established charity is seeking compassionate volunteers to support bereaved children during residential weekends. This role involves engaging with children at the Hilltop Activity Centre, providing a supportive environment where they can connect with peers who understand their experiences. Volunteers can choose to participate in activities or help organize behind the scenes. Your involvement will contribute to the charity's vision of empowering every bereaved child to look forward to a positive future.   • Attendance at training sessions is required before starting the role.

Job description

Role:
Nelson’s Journey runs residential weekends for bereaved children. Children and young people are invited to Hilltop Activity Centre where they can meet others who are bereaved of a significant person. Volunteers are welcome to actively participate in activities with the children, or if they would prefer to help behind the scenes to organise the activities and set up, they are also welcome to do so.

Time commitment:
Throughout the activity weekends. You will also be required to attend training sessions before starting your role.
