Job description

Be part of something special from day one by joining our brand-new team!

Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for an exciting new opportunity? We’re thrilled to be opening a state-of-the-art, purpose-built surgery in East Grinstead and would love you to join us as we begin this new journey.

Our new surgery is located within one of our stores in the heart of East Grinstead and has been thoughtfully designed to deliver the highest clinical standards alongside a welcoming, enjoyable working environment. We’re proud of our collaborative and supportive culture, where every team member is truly valued.

This new practice offers the caseload, facilities, and modern equipment you need to make the most of your existing skills, while also providing plenty of opportunities to grow and develop. We are passionate about supporting further qualifications and ongoing CPD, helping you progress your career with confidence.

About you and the role

We’re seeking a proactive, enthusiastic team player who thrives in a progressive, fast-paced first opinion practice and is committed to maintaining high clinical standards. You’ll be a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse with some experience, and an interest in being a clinical coach—or existing coaching experience—would be an advantage.

Success in this role will come from your willingness to embrace all aspects of the veterinary nursing role while consistently delivering outstanding patient and client care. From day one, you’ll have the opportunity to play an active part in shaping and developing the practice.

Flexible working

As a brand-new practice, we’re pleased to offer both full-time and part-time opportunities. We understand how important a healthy work‑life balance is, so we’re open to flexible discussions and encourage you to talk to us about the shift patterns that would suit you best. Some weekend work will be required, but there is no out‑of‑hours commitment.

We can offer you
  • An attractive salary of up to £30,000 (dependant on experience/full‑time equivalent)
  • A generous CPD allowance
  • 5.6 weeks initial holiday, rising to 6.6 weeks after 2 years’ service!
  • A generous extra days’ leave for your birthday
  • Access to private health insurance
  • A contributory pension scheme
  • In‑house career development opportunity
  • Paid membership fees (RCVS, BVA, VDS)
  • Access to the reward hub including wellbeing support and pastoral care
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • 20% discount at Vets for Pets, Pets at Home and the Groom Room
  • Access to Colleague Assistance Programmes – Retail Trust, Port of Call and MHFA
