Quality Lineside Engineer

Location: Broughton, Chester (on-site)

Pay: 23.84/hr (PAYE) or 31.54/hr (Umbrella)

Shifts: Double day shift pattern (mornings/afternoons, 20% uplift)

Start: BPSS+ Clearance required

What You'll Do
  • Champion Quality: Provide expert support and advice on drawings, parts, and processes, ensuring our products meet the highest standards.
  • Drive Improvement: Lead investigations into quality issues, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions—often within a single shift.
  • Assure Excellence: Monitor and uphold our quality systems through regular audits and process confirmations.
  • Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with cross-functional teams, presenting quality overviews to leadership and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Problem Solve: Use proven tools (PPS, 5Y, Ishikawa, etc.) to tackle challenges and reduce non-conformities.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a quality or engineering role within a major manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, or similar).
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and analyse data.
  • Confident problem solver with a proactive, adaptable approach.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to challenge constructively and build strong relationships.
  • Team player, comfortable working alongside operational and cross-functional colleagues.
