Job description

Key Responsibilities:

The role will involve:

• Managing a broad range of Private Client matters, including estate administration (covering high-value estates and those with business or agricultural assets), lifetime planning for high-net-worth individuals and business clients, succession planning, and matters relating to elderly clients.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with other internal teams (including Family, Real Estate, Corporate, and Contentious Probate/Trusts) to foster collaboration and encourage cross-referrals into the Private Client team.
• Supporting team leadership by contributing to management and strategy, supervising junior staff, ensuring Lexcel compliance, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Engaging in business development and contributing to the ongoing review and improvement of team processes, precedents, and working practices to meet the evolving needs of clients and referrers.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Qualified Private Client solicitor with 5+ years PQE.
• STEP qualification or equivalent experience is preferred but not essential.
• Ambitious, commercially minded, and committed to personal and professional growth.
• Confident in managing own caseload while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a dedication to exceptional client care.
• Highly organised, proactive, and detail-focused, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a busy, professional setting and proficient with IT systems, including case management software.
