Overview

Pre-School Practitioner

Are you a Nursery or Pre-School Practitioner or EYFS specialist looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for working with young people and making a positive impact on their journey? Milk Education are recruiting for a Pre-School Practitioner for a successful Pre-School in the Gateshead area. Temp to Perm available on position.

Responsibilities
  • Looking after the health and well-being of the children aged 0-5 years old
  • Observing children\'s progress and development, and keeping a record of this to communicate with parents
  • Helping children to develop core skills, such as mathematics and literacy, through activities like reading stories and counting games
  • Providing a safe and enabling environment for children to learn in
  • Supporting children by implementing the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
  • Taking children on trips or outings outside their usual learning environment
  • Encouraging physical activities to keep children active
  • Supporting children\'s mental health, fostering an environment where children can seek help if needed, including collaboration with other teams to address issues
  • Boosting life skills, such as cooking or using money, through age-appropriate activities
  • Supporting communication and social skills to help children interact with those around them
  • Helping children with their individual educational needs, including responsibilities when specific training is available
  • Ensuring safeguarding and welfare procedures are adhered to
Pre-School Practitioner Non-Negotiables
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification
  • Experience working with children in the last 2 years
  • Commitment to helping young children learn, develop and thrive
  • Previous experience working with Early Years
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
