Job summary

A leading engineering company in the UK is seeking a Senior/Principal Piping Stress Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Caesar II and strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 and BS EN 13480 codes. You will perform stress analysis, review piping designs, and prepare technical documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. A degree in engineering or equivalent experience is essential, along with the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years equivalent experience in engineering.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status preferred.
• Ability to obtain security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify stress-critical lines and review P&IDs and line lists.
• Perform piping stress analysis and flexibility studies.
• Select pipe supports based on analysis and thermal expansion.
• Review and approve piping isometrics and 3D models.
• Prepare and approve technical documentation and stress reports.

Skills

Proficiency in Caesar II

Knowledge of ASME B31.3

Knowledge of BS EN 13480 codes

Education

• Select pipe supports based on analysis and thermal expansion considerations
• Review and sign‑off piping isometrics and 3D models
• Prepare and approve technical documentation, stress reports, and specifications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend client meetings

What we're looking for : 🔹 Proficiency in Caesar II (essential)

🔹 Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 and BS EN 13480 codes

🔹 Degree in Engineering or 10+ years equivalent experience

🔹 Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status preferred Additional Details : ✅ Inside IR35
