Job description

An exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced pensions actuarial team to help support their continued growth in the DB pensions market.

  • Location: London

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
  • Your day-to-day role will involve coordinating actuarial calculations with the junior teams on your clients, reviewing these calculations along with the associated advice.
  • At consultant level, you are expected to take ownership of workstreams with support from senior members of the team.
  • You’ll be encouraged to attend client meetings to help develop your consulting skills; your client list will enable you to have the opportunity to not only attend but also present at these meetings alongside senior team members.
  • You will also have the opportunity to attend industry networking events, playing a key role in organizing events.
  • You’ll be a qualified actuary with at least 4 years’ experience working in the UK pensions actuarial consulting environment.
  • Excellent UK pensions technical knowledge – able to review core technical work such as actuarial valuation and member options calculations and pensions accounting; experience of GMP equalization is helpful (but not essential).
  • Ability to propose your own ideas on ways to approach complex calculations.
  • Good commercial awareness with the ability to consider agreed budgets when carrying out work.
