Part Time School Transport Administrator

Are you an organised and enthusiastic individual looking to make a difference in the education sector?

Working Pattern: Part-Time (17.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 10:30

Hourly Rate: £14.67

Location: Cobham

Start Date: Mid-October

Our client is seeking a dedicated Transport Administrator to join their bustling Transport Department. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure the smooth operation of the school\'s transportation services and support a vibrant community of students, staff, and parents!

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the morning home-to-school bus service.
  • Ensure all information in system is accurate and up to date.
  • Process and reconcile purchase orders and invoices.
  • Liaise with the School Fees team to resolve billing queries.
  • Administer DBS Enhanced Certification Checks for operators and drivers.
  • Organise quotations for sports fixtures and school trips.
  • Provide proactive support to parents, students, colleagues, and transport operators via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Assist with ad hoc duties and reporting as required.
Experience and Skills Required
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent).
  • Strong ICT literacy, particularly in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good numeracy and keen attention to detail.
  • Highly organised, capable of prioritising multiple tasks.
  • Previous experience in a transport office or similar environment is desirable.
