Job description

Overview

On behalf of a Mechanical and Electrical design and build contractor based in Surrey. Having been established for 20 years and built up a reputation of reliability, quality and trust with our clients. We operate mainly in the south of the country in most sectors of the industry. We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join our team to be based close to West Byfleet and be in possession of a current clean driving license for this permanent position.

The ideal engineer will be self-motivated and able to interact with both clients, suppliers and sub-contractors. Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level in building services and have at least 5 years post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Surveying, design, estimating and the management of projects, being able to take ownership of projects from inception to hand over and to then provide post contract client support where required.
• Provide technically sound design solutions, have a good understanding of relevant legislation, including CDM, and have experience preparing for and delivering projects.
• Use design software, be confident working with minimal supervision and be able to support other team members.

Qualifications and Requirements

• ONC/HNC level in building services.
• At least 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in surveying, design, estimating and project management.
• Current clean driving license.
• Ability to interact with clients, suppliers and subcontractors; self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Based near West Byfleet; willing to join a permanent role.
