Overview

Loss Adjuster

Aviva is offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Loss Adjuster to join our team. You will handle large property claims and work from home, with the flexibility to travel across the Midlands and surrounding areas, and across the UK as needed.

This is a permanent Domestic Major Loss Adjuster role that is home-based, visiting customers in the Midlands area with the possibility to travel throughout the UK. A full UK driving license and residence in this region are required, as customer visits are an integral part of the role. Reasonable travel across the UK and flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, should be expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide a customer-focused and cost-effective service by handling property claims from instruction to completion, ensuring claims are managed within agreed financial authority limits.
• Work from home and travel as needed to meet customer needs.
• Embrace flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, to deliver the best service.
• Use a company car for travel.

Qualifications

• High-value claims experience is preferred (ideally around £100,000), but experience over £50,000 will be considered.
• Minimum qualification of Cert CII or CILA; Dip CII is welcome but not required.
• Technical knowledge of insurance principles, subrogation, underwriting practices, and ABI report writing is highly valued.
• Knowledge of building practices and regulations for property reinstatements and tendering processes is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage claims from cradle to grave with a customer-focused approach.
