LOCUM SPEECH THERAPIST SITTINGBOURNE FULL TIME HOURS in Kent

Dream Medical is currently working with a Hospital in Sittingbourne that requires a locum Speech Therapist.

The Hospital is looking for a locum Speech Therapist to work full-time hours, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30, to start ASAP on a fixed long-term contract.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying children's developmental speech and communication difficulties/disorders
  • Assessing and treating swallowing and communication difficulties arising from causes such as congenital problems (e.g., cleft palate) or acquired disorders after stroke or injury
  • Devising, implementing, and revising relevant treatment programmes
  • Advising carers on treatment implementation and training other professionals in therapy delivery
  • Assessing communication environments
  • Monitoring and evaluating clients' progress
  • Working with clients individually and in groups to deliver therapy
