A further and higher education institution in the UK seeks a Learner Support Assistant. This role involves supporting students facing barriers in learning, collaborating closely with teachers to facilitate an inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to handling diverse learning needs. The position offers a salary between £25,826 and £28,534, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Learner Support Assistants work with students who experience barriers in their learning either by reason of disadvantage, learning difficulties or disability. The LSA helps with teaching and learning activities inside or out of the classroom/workshop/off site working with small groups as well as individual learners.
The LSA works closely with the teacher leading the class and with Tutorial Mentors to ensure students are positively engaged with their learning, fully stretched and able to achieve their goals whilst enjoying their time in college. The LSAs expertise supports the best use of strategies to overcome barriers to learning, including challenging and difficult behaviours.
As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of between £25,826 - £28,534 per annum based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
