Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working, with 1 day every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Salary: Competitive + company benefits (Full-time/permanent role)

The SRE Team:

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and feature-rich experiences for users.

About the Role:

This hands-on role involves working closely with the Software Engineering team and the Head of Engineering to manage the SRE function. Responsibilities include reviewing, leading, and developing strategies for the security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have significant autonomy to shape the team’s future, utilizing your expertise in:

  • Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform management
  • Development and deployment of APIs in containerized environments like Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • AWS services, especially IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • CloudFormation and CDK
  • Experience with serverless computing
