Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Salary: Competitive + company benefits (Full-time/permanent role)

The SRE Team:

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and rich feature sets for our users.

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working closely with the Software Engineering team and the Head of Engineering to manage the SRE function daily. You will review, lead, and develop strategies to improve the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have autonomy to shape the team’s future using your expertise in:

  • Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
  • API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform
  • Collaborating in an agile environment with business stakeholders
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • AWS services, including IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • CloudFormation/CDK
  • Experience with serverless computing
