A leading manufacturing company based in Blackburn is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement Officer to join its team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations while continuously driving performance improvements across the site.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the site's Health & Safety Management System
  • Conduct and coordinate risk assessments, audits, and inspections
  • Update safety documentation and ensure legal compliance
  • Identify training needs and deliver regular health and safety training
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure all processes and equipment meet safety standards
  • Lead emergency response planning and training
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Share and implement best practices in health, safety, and continuous improvement
What Were Looking For
  • At least 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and relevant UK HSE regulations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks and driving positive change
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
