Responsibilities

• Desk study enquiries
• On site investigation works including logging of samples, specialist sampling for geotechnical and analytical testing and supervision of contractors
• On-site monitoring and measurement
• Under direction from a Project Director/Manager, carry out: Preparation of laboratory testing schedules; Preparation of factual and interpretative aspects of site investigation reports; Supervision and direction of specialist geotechnical/environmental/groundworks contractors and preparation of completion/validation reports
• Qualitative and quantitative analysis of geotechnical and environmental designs including computer based analysis
• Detailed design of geotechnical and environmental solutions including foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, remediation schemes, monitoring programmes
