Job Title: Dispatch Operative (with Forklift Counterbalance Experience)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:30 (with overtime paid until 17:00)

Pay: £13 per rate + overtime daily after 14:30 paid at Time and Half

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable Dispatch Operative with Counterbalance Forklift experience to join a busy metal fabrication and distribution environment. Working in both the warehouse and yard, you'll play a key role in the movement of goods, ensuring products are safely loaded, unloaded, and prepared for dispatch.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced setting, offering long-term security and excellent earning potential through daily and weekend overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance Forklift trucks to load and unload metal products.
• Handle goods in and goods out, including booking in deliveries and preparing dispatch paperwork.
• Work in the yard and warehouse/factory, ensuring stock is stored safely and organised efficiently.
• Assist with sorting and preparing orders for collections and deliveries.
• Follow health & safety guidelines at all times to ensure safe handling of materials.
• Support wider warehouse and yard duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous Forklift Counterbalance experience is essential (in a warehouse or yard setting).
• Valid Counterbalance licence (expired tickets can be refreshed).
• Experience handling metal products or heavy goods preferred.
• Ability to work to deadlines in a busy environment.
• Good team player with a proactive approach.
• Flexible with overtime availability.
