Food Technology Teacher – Full Time

Location: Burnley
Start Date: January
Contract Type: Full-Time (Temp to Perm Opportunity)
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive Alternative Provision in Burnley, starting January. This is a full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role
  • Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 2, 3, and 4
  • Work under the guidance of senior leadership to plan, deliver, and assess learning
  • Support students with diverse needs, including those with SEN, to overcome barriers to learning
  • Foster independence, social development, and effective behaviour management in the classroom
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and provide learning support in non-lesson-based activities
What We’re Looking For
  • A recognised qualification in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or a related field (minimum Level 4 or equivalent)
  • QTS
  • Experience teaching or training in a food-related discipline
  • A solid understanding of SEN and strategies for inclusion
  • Experience planning and delivering learning activities for individuals and small groups
