Qualifications

  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in a related engineering discipline.
  • Completion of all relevant Elekta technical training courses up to 3rd line.
  • Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, networking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in a service environment.
  • Demonstrable drive and commitment to Elekta and the tasks in hand.
  • Clean Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned maintenance and emergency corrective maintenance.
  • Report any issues that may adversely affect Elekta products.
  • Provide feedback on problems and solutions to the Service Manager.
  • Install all systems within the product portfolio without supervision.

Field Service Engineer - UK South - Remote

Job Location : Crawley United Kingdom

The Field Service Engineer are responsible for the installation and servicing of all Elekta products within UK. This role will have a primary focus on MR‑Linac systems within the region. This is a home‑based role with a requirement to travel throughout UK as required and as directed by the Regional Service Manager.

What you’ll do at Elekta

Would you like to be part of our driven global team where we aim to attract and invite the best competences to Elekta? We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join our Service Team in the United Kingdom which is currently a team of ten team members.

In this exciting and diverse role you will work with very diverse skill set including fault finding complex electronic systems down to component level and adjustment of the radiation beam to achieve the required output specification.

Responsibilities
  • To carry out planned maintenance emergency corrective maintenance upgrades installation work courtesy calls to local customers and telephone support either from the office in the UK or from a remote location.
  • To carry out all the work in accordance with Elekta's safety instructions and procedures.
  • To report any issues or problems that may adversely affect Elekta the product its ongoing reliability or the safety of any personnel to the Service Manager in a timely manner.
  • To provide feedback to the Service Manager any problems solutions or opportunities which may need to be communicated to other parties.
  • To carry out without supervision corrective maintenance within acceptable timescales prompting escalation of the problem if required and maintaining ownership of problem until customer is satisfied.
  • To install without supervision all systems within the product portfolio to the required specification and within the project timescales.
What you bring

  • Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, networking.
