Overview

Smart Teachers are pleased to be working with this hugely popular Independent school located in the borough of Hounslow. The school is looking for a Facilities Assistant to start as soon as possible. The role is ad-hoc as the Facilities department restructures, with potential for more frequent or permanent work.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of the school premises to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
  • Ensure the security of the school buildings by managing access points and key distribution.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the school grounds, including litter picking and waste disposal management.
  • Set up furniture and equipment for school events and rearrange as required.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and report any concerns to the school management.
Requirements
  • To be considered for the role you will have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Good practical maintenance skills across basic trades (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, painting).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to duties.
