Job description

Estimator Civil/Rail – London

Salary: £40,000 – £55,000

Location: London

Are you an experienced Estimator with a history of successfully working on multi‑billion rail and civils projects? We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Estimator for a market leading contractor within the first major framework for CP6.

You will be required to support the delivery of a wide range of civils, building, electrification, power, signalling, telecommunications, track and design projects.

Responsibilities:

• Log all tenders in/out of Tender System.
• Take off ability using Adobe Pro or CAD.
• Complete financial tender documents and tender submission/delivery arrangements.
• Scanning and electronic file transfers into the Estimating System.
• Tender data analysis in Excel (e.g. Sub Contractors/Suppliers rates).
• Estimating from first principles.
• Understand and produce tender programmes with assistance.
• Actively foster positive staff morale.
• Risk analysis of schemes.
• Value Engineering and assessment of opportunities to add value to tenders.
• Willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of estimating team.
• Experience with civil/highways schemes.
• Knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
• Confident
• Good communicator
