Job description

Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm that is looking for an Employment Solicitor to join their team in Leeds.

Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Representing clients in disputes over issues like unfair dismissal, discrimination, or harassment.
  2. Advising on the legal process of redundancies, termination, and wrongful dismissal.
  3. Providing advice on employee rights, such as holiday pay, sick leave, and working hours.
  4. Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  5. Negotiating settlements in cases of disputes or employment-related claims.
  6. Advising on how to handle employee grievances and disciplinary procedures.
  7. Helping businesses comply with laws when transferring employees as part of a business sale or restructuring.
The successful candidate:
  • 3+ years PQE in employment law.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to tight deadlines.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach.
