Overview

Senior Electrical Estimator - Bolton

Salary: £50,000 - £58,000 + Car Allowance/Company Vehicle + Pension + 25 Days Holiday
Location: Bolton (office-based with 1 day WFH flexibility)

We're working with a long-established M&E contractor that has built an excellent reputation for delivering projects across the commercial, industrial, retail, banking, and government sectors. They are now looking to add a Senior Electrical Estimator to strengthen their pre-construction team.

This role is ideal for someone ambitious, technically strong, and looking to progress into future leadership and mentorship responsibilities.

Role

As Senior Electrical Estimator, you'll play a key part in producing accurate and competitive electrical tenders and supporting successful project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full electrical estimating cycle, from drawings/specs analysis to handover to operations.
  • Prepare estimates on projects typically ranging from £300k - £10m.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, identifying value-engineering opportunities.
  • Attend client/site meetings, working closely with design, commercial, and project teams.
  • Support, mentor, and share knowledge with junior estimators.
  • Software: Proficiency with Trimble and Amtech is essential.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' electrical estimating experience in building services / M&E.
  • Proven ability on tenders up to £5m+.
  • Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator in client-facing situations.
  • Team player who enjoys a collaborative office environment (with 1 day WFH).
