A leading firm in Energy & Environment is seeking a Director of Project Controls in Aston-on-Trent. This role involves designing and implementing a standardised project controls framework to ensure accuracy in cost, schedule, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale project delivery, strong stakeholder engagement abilities, and proficiency in integrated project controls systems. In addition, the position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits including medical coverage and family-friendly policies.
The Director of Project Controls is responsible for designing, leading, and embedding a best-in‑class project controls function across Amentum's Energy & Environment International (E&E-I) business. Reporting to the Vice President for Finance, with a dotted line to the Vice President for Delivery Excellence & Assurance, the Director ensures cost, schedule, and risk performance is governed with accuracy, discipline, and transparency across the entire portfolio. A core mandate of this role is to develop and implement a standardised, scalable framework that creates the "Amentum Way" of Project Controls that is used consistently across the business line. This framework must be recognised as the single, authoritative approach for cost, schedule, risk and performance management across E&E-I. It must be flexible enough to apply proportionately to smaller, low‑risk consultancy tasks and service orders, while equally being robust enough to govern multi‑billion‑dollar EPC programmes. It must also be designed so that it can integrate seamlessly with client requirements, contractual obligations and industry standards, ensuring Amentum remains both competitive and compliant while maintaining a high standard of delivery discipline.
