Overview

Controls Engineer (Water Industry) – Wells, Somerset

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Training + Progression + Pension

Role

• Design and integration of Control Panels in Electrical Systems for Water Treatment Processes.
• PLC programming and SCADA development, defining software and hardware requirements.
• Troubleshooting, diagnostics and maintenance of control systems.
• Commissioning and testing of control systems, defining test strategies and ensuring milestone dates are met.
• Ensure compliance and safety, maintain accurate technical documentation, and develop detailed design specifications.
• Provide technical advice and support to delivery, design, and management teams.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Controls Engineer role with strong knowledge of Electrical Systems.
• 18th edition wiring regulations.
• NVQ Level 2/HNC/HND or above, or an Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Full, valid UK driver's license.
• Background in the Water Industry is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in PLC programming and SCADA development.
• Willingness to travel to customer/client sites as required.
• Security clearance held or obtainable.
