Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Learning Facilitator to join our Widening Participation team. The post holder will support the CAVC Community learner programme which focuses on supporting adult learners to return or participate in learning.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and facilitating workshops and activities designed to engage and motivate learners.
  • Delivery of a diverse range of workshops to engage new adult learners into learning programmes and wider adult learner education opportunities.
  • The marketing and promotion of adult learning opportunities and successes across the organisation and community such as attending community engagement events, workshops, use of social media, mail distribution etc.
  • Supporting the progression of learners to further courses/pathways (part time /full time).
  • Support the development of partnership working to increase the curriculum offer.
  • Undertaking administrative functions to monitor learner progress and outcomes.
  • The post holder will proactively engage with, support and maintain relationships with adult learners from community learning programmes.
  • The post holder will work within the community. The postholder will need the ability to work both in a team setting and on their own to support learners.
  • Working collaboratively with external partner agencies this role will focus on engaging adult learners.
  • Whilst the ability to speak Welsh is not essential for the role, we would welcome candidates who are fluent and can engage with learners through the medium of Welsh.
