Job description
Overview

Wirral Child & Young Person Mental Health Service (CYPMHS, previously CAMHS) is a therapy-based service offering support to children and young people with mild to severe mental health difficulties and their families/caregivers. We work in close alignment with the Local Authority, education and the voluntary sector. Our aim is to ensure that children receive the right support, from the right service at the right time.

Due to current national focus on children’s services and subsequent investment, an opportunity has arisen to be part of the development of the CYPMHS service in Wirral. The successful applicant will be an experienced clinician who will work closely with CYPMHS leads, eating disorder specialists and core CYPMHS team members to provide assessment and intervention within a multi-disciplinary team. The candidate will help develop and drive the CYPMHS Access service forward.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and intervention within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
  • Collaborate with CYPMHS leads, eating disorder specialists and other core CYPMHS staff.
  • Contribute to the development and forward progression of the CYPMHS Access service.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Core profession (Social Work, Nurse, Allied Health Professional) AND Professional registration.
  • Access to transport for work purposes.
