Overview

CAD Technician/CAD Engineer

Location: Denham (On-site 5 days/week for first 6 months, then 3 days/week)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician/CAD Engineer/Draughtsperson with strong expertise in technical definition, drawing standards, and GD&T. The role will focus heavily on the creation and definition of technical drawings, supported by both 2D and 3D modelling.

Responsibilities
  • Produce and define high-quality technical drawings and CAD models.
  • Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Work with SolidWorks, CATIA, CREO, NX, or other parametric CAD systems.
  • Support engineering teams in developing components, assemblies, and documentation to industry standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in CAD within an engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T/tolerancing.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD modelling (parametric systems).
  • Familiarity with PMI (Product & Manufacturing Information) is advantageous.
  • Background in metal components.
  • Experience within aerospace, defence, automotive, rail, medical devices, or energy sectors.
  • HVAC experience will not be considered due to differing design/tolerancing requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain BPSS clearance (notice period recommended after clearance confirmation).
