Business Support Officer

Location: Usk

Contract: £13.69 to £14.13 per hour

Our client is looking for an experienced Business Support Officer.

The successful candidate must live within 40 minutes of the office, have strong IT and admin skills, great customer service experience, and be a helpful and committed person. They will also be a team player and have a solid work history.

The business support function in Children’s Services comprises a team of highly skilled colleagues who are committed to delivering a flexible and resilient business support service, capable of responding quickly and positively in line with circumstances and demand.

Expectation and Outcomes of this Role:

We are looking for someone who brings reliability, commitment, and enthusiasm to the role alongside highly technical IT skills and knowledge of data and its manipulation. Someone who understands the importance of business support and the difference it makes to the effective running of the integrated team.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Administration: Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, store information correctly, gather information for Data Protection Subject Access requests, take minutes, and perform general administrative tasks.
  • Finance: Handle petty cash, record transactions, and monitor cash expenditure.
  • Developing and Maintaining Relationships: Provide a professional service handling incoming calls, build relationships of trust through open communication, and troubleshoot issues with colleagues.
