Overview

Micvac is a technology pioneer with a focus on providing integrated equipment and packaging solutions for producing delicious chilled ready meals. This system-based technology was invented and patented by us and delivers superior benefits across the value chain from producers to retailers and consumers. We are solidly established in the Nordics (30% of the Swedish market) and already present in multiple markets across the globe. We are changing the way food is produced: more sustainably, more cost effectively, while eliminating the overprocessing and bad stuff that is common in food production. Founded in 1999, the company employs 25 people across production and office functions and operates from its headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.

One of the key strategic priorities for us in 2026 is to expand Micvac’s presence in the UK chilled ready meals market, particularly within mainstream retail. This is why we are looking for a Business Developer (UK) who will play a key role driving market penetration in the UK by Micvac’s solution in chilled meals segment. The role focuses on leveraging and strengthening relationships with leading food producers and major retailers, converting existing product ranges to Micvac technology, and strengthening Micvac’s brand presence to create retailer-driven demand. This role acts as a bridge between producers and retailers, supporting local adoption of our technology and enabling successful commercialization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify, target, and engage key UK ready-meal producers and retailers to drive conversion of existing product ranges to Micvac technology
  • Actively support existing UK customers using Micvac systems to help them achieve mainstream retail listings
  • Build and strengthen the Micvac brand in the UK through marketing initiatives, partnerships, and industry presence
  • Create retailer pull by aligning Micvac solutions with retailer needs and trends
  • Act as a link between food producers and retailers, facilitating collaboration and concept alignment
  • Contribute to local adoption of product and packaging concepts for the UK market
  • Provide market insights and feedback to Micvac’s team in Sweden
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in business development within the food industry, particularly with ready meals
  • Established network and relationships with major UK food retailers and food producers
  • Extensive experience with new product development projects, from concept to launch in the chilled ready meals category
  • Deep understanding of UK retail ready-meals market dynamics
  • Proven ability to open doors and build credibility at senior decision-maker level
  • Ability to provide development and innovation support for both short- and long-term customer projects
  • Strong capability in translating food trends and quality recipes into commercially viable products
  • Passion for food, innovation, and continuous improvement across the entire supply chain
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and comfortable working independently
  • Ability to represent Micvac professionally in the UK market
